About me

Nathalie Bertrams is a print and photo journalist who works mainly across Africa. She is a grantee of the National Geographic Society, the European Journalism Center, the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, Free Press Unlimted and the Kunstfonds Foundation. In 2015, she received the Lorenzo Natali Media Prize for development journalism by the European Commission. Her work has been published by The Guardian, Süddeutsche Zeitung, New Internationalist, Al Jazeera, Mail & Guardian among others. Nathalie holds a Master’s degree in Fine Arts from Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, Germany and is a member of Frontline Freelance Register and Women Photograph.
